Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the ticket price. But we have a few low-budget suggestions here for you that have a good location. You can find a lot of affordable accommodation in Vienna if you book early enough. The simple underground system in Vienna will make daily travel easy - nothing is really far in Vienna, specially if you choose to stay in one of the inner districts (ZIP codes 1010  - 1090).

HOST a HOOPER
Probably the nicest and most affordable option is to find a local hooper to host you! The best way to find one is to make a posting on one of the main hoop community facebook pages:
  • Austrian Hoop Convention 2016: official facebook event
  • Hula Hoop Austria:  public facebook group
  • Verrückt nach Hula Hoop: public facebook group

Couch Surfing
"Stay with locals instead of hotels."
This platform is a hospitality exchange and social network. The website provides a platform for members to "surf" on couches by staying as a guest at a host's home, host travelers, or join an event.
Find more details on their website.

Air BnB
This is a great plattform where you can register to rent accommodation from a local host. Their concept is called "One less stranger" and is based on the idea of sharing living space with travelers and make them feel at home. Feeling like a guest instead of a tourist. For more details have a look on their official website.

Camping Vienna "Neue Donau"

Wombats City Hotels
This might not be the closest option to our workshop venue but it has two central inner city locations for affordable prices and good service. One is just opposite the famous "Naschmarkt" (U4 Kettenbrückengasse) and the other one "The Lounge" very close to Westbahnhof (U3 and international trains) and not far from Vienna's main shopping street. Check out their website.

A&O Hostels Vienna: Hauptbahnhof (main train station) or Stadthalle (U6)
They have really good prices and nice rooms! The one at Hauptbahnhof is super news (built 2013) and is directly at the main train station. The other one at Stadthalle is very close to the main shopping street Mariahilferstrasse and has great access for public transportation with the U6 station.
Our teachers stayed there last year and they liked it! :D Check out their website.
